Jeep Tour

A fun and different way to get to know Madeira. Mainly because all along the island, there are hard places to reach that are only reachable by off-road vehicles. Come and see the 4 corners of the Island in a Jeep 4X4.

Tour 1: Jardim da Serra

After pick-up at the hotel, the jeep departs in the direction of Fajã das Galinhas and stops at Boca dos Namorados, a well-known belvedere with a magnificent view over the Curral das Freiras. After this small stop, the tour continues to Jardim da Serra, stopping at the Boca da Corrida viewpoint (1000m altitude) with a different perspective of the Curral das Freiras and the highest peaks of the Island, Pico Ruivo and Pico do Arieiro. We continue to Cape Girão, the highest promontory in Europe and the second highest in the world, with 589 meters of height. It has a glass platform that allows a magnificent view. We descend to Câmara de Lobos, a city famous for its connection to the fishing activity and we finished the tour with the return to the hotel where you are staying.

Tour 2: Pico do Arieiro

After pick-up at the hotel, the jeep departs towards Miranda Miradouro, a place with a superb view over the Bay of Funchal. The tour continues with an off-road to the paradise valley area, with the option of taking a short drive of approximately 20 minutes. We continue to Pico do Arieiro (1818m altitude), the second highest peak in Madeira and also one of the most visited.

Then, we drive to Santo da Serra where we make a short stop and leave for Portela. In Portela viewpoint we can see the eastern part of the island (Porto da Cruz and Faial).

We continue with an off-road through the Freguras to the city of Machico and we finish the tour with the return to the hotel where you are staying.

Tour 3: Porto Moniz

After pick-up at the hotel, the jeep departs in the direction of the city of Ribeira Brava, where it makes a small stop in a beautiful belvedere. The excursion passes through the Ponta do Sol towards the Canhas where we make an off-road to the Paúl da Serra, place known for being the largest plateau of the Island of Madeira. At Paúl da Serra you can take a short drive to Bica da Cana (approximately 20 minutes).

We continue the excursion down to Porto Moniz, where you will be able to swim in the stunning natural pools and also have lunch (optional lunch of € 13 and not included in the value of the Jeep Safari). Then , we drive to Seixal and then head towards To Encumeada with passage through São Vicente. At the Encumeada viewpoint we can observe the Ribeira Brava and São Vicente valleys and finish the tour with the return to the hotel where you are staying.

Tour 4: Santana

After the pick-up at the hotel, the jeep heads towards Monte making a short stop at the Terreiro da Luta, a place with a magnificent view over the Bay of Funchal.

The tour passes the Poiso towards Ribeiro Frio, a place known for its trout ponds. At Ribeiro Frio you can take a short walk to the Balconies viewpoint (approximately 45 minutes) and continue with an off-road to the Queimadas, where we make a short stop.

Then, we drive to Santana, where there is the possibility of having a traditional Madeiran meal (optional lunch of € 13 and not included in the value of the Jeep Safari).

We leave to Porto da Cruz, pass through Faial. In Porto da Cruz we stop at the sugar cane factory, where you can taste the famous sugar cane brandy.

We then drive to the town of Machico, stopping at the viewpoint of Pico do Facho, overlooking the Caniçal, Machico and Porto Santo Island, and finish the tour with the return to the hotel where you are staying.
